88m Golden Yachts Project X nears completion

The 88-metre Golden YachtsProject X has been transported from Halkitis Shipyard to Spanopoulos Group’s New Hellenic Shipyards as she nears completion. The impressive 2,750 GT superyacht has been under construction since 2007 and has moved from various shipyards during her build.

The Perama based shipyard has been working on the yacht since 2019 when she was moved from the Delta Marine shipyard in Seattle, United States where she had been stored for a number of years. But it was at Marco Yachts shipyard in Santiago, Chile where her construction started in 2007.

Project X, previously known as Z, features both interior and exterior design by Ken Freivokh while her naval architecture is penned by Marco Yachts. She is able to accommodate up to 14 guests with a configuration of one master suite and six guest staterooms as well as a crew of 24.

Project X is powered by twin Caterpillar engines each delivering 2,485hp, enabling the superyacht to achieve a top speed of 17.5 knots. She has a  range of 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots ensuring she can reach any desirable destination without refuelling.

Although plans have been kept tightly under wraps about Project X, it is believed that she is expected to be delivered later in 2022.
